Introduction to Glitch
Objectives and Overview
This lesson introduces Glitch, a powerful tool, and a community where you’ll be able to experiment with web technology. Glitch is where you’ll be creating web pages and practicing with HTML and CSS. Projects that you create will be public and hosted on Glitch, so you can share your work with others if you’d like!

Getting Started With Glitch
Since Glitch is an online community where you can create and share web projects, you need to sign up for an account. You’ll be signing up with your DHF email address (use another address if you’re not in DHF programs). Let’s get started!
Creating an Account
Head to https://glitch.com and find the Sign in button in the top right corner:
After clicking the Sign in button you’ll see a screen showing several options. For now, select Google and enter your email:
Enter your email address and password, and you’ll be ready to start creating!
Glitch Interface Tour
The Glitch community has lots of tutorials and starter projects that you can explore. When you’re logged in, you’ll see this page:
The upper right corner of the page has your account information. Check this out if you want to change your settings.
The middle of the page contains lots of resources for getting started. Definitely explore the featured apps when you want some inspiration. Remember, Glitch is a platform where professional designers and programmers create projects, so don’t compare your work to theirs!
The starter apps contain tutorials that you can explore on your own time for inspiration. One of the best ways to level up your programming skill is by exploring what other folks create!
